Oscillator
An oscillator is an advanced variety of the sprinkler and is used to water areas as large as 3750 Sq feet. There are smaller variants as well which can be used to water smaller areas. An oscillator has a metal base which is used to install it on the ground. It also encompasses a motor which rotates the water in a fixed pattern. It has a spray tube with multiple spray openings which oscillates and waters the area in a rectangular pattern. Some oscillators have a built in timer which allows you to preset the time duration for which you wish to water the plants.
Rotary sprinklers
These have watering arms that spin as the water is sprayed on the lawn. These are used to water small or medium sized lawns. Once again, you can choose from several types of Rotary Sprinklers.
Stationary Sprinklers
As the name suggests, these are stationary and do not oscillate or rotate. Stationary Sprinklers are the most ordinary and commonly used sprinkler type. There are rings, full circle and half circle types of sprinklers. Different watering patterns like mist, square, rectangle etc can be set using the turret. Stationary Sprinklers are ideal for watering small gardens and lawns.
Timers
Timers are devices which allow you to tailor the time for each watering zone in your garden. There are many varieties of the timer. Some advanced timers have features like seasonal adjust and rain delay which will change the frequency as well as the duration of watering the plants. A timer is a great device to have in the garden and makes life extremely easy.
Traveling Sprinklers
Traveling sprinklers are self propelled devices and have an easy detachable mechanism. They can be carried with you when you travel. The sprinkler itself is similar to an rotary sprinkler in its working.
