Construction of World One | Tallest Residential Building in India

The second tallest residential building in the world, World One, a 117-story building will be build in Mumbai, India with a height of 442 meters (1,450 feet) when it’s completed in 2015, the company, known as ACC, said in an e-mailed statement yesterday.

The Green Building Council will be rated as Leed Gold Certified building. World One is designed by Pei Cobb Freed and Partners and Leslie E. Robertson Associates.The apartment prices in World One would start from US$1.63 million and the most expensive one be as much as US$10.85 million Lodha expects to make a revenue of US$1.09 billion from the sale of the apartments.

The residential tower, designed by the New York City architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed and Partners, includes private pools, home theaters, outdoor Jacuzzis, an elevated park and an observatory lounge at a height of 305 meters, the company said. 

World One will be a residential super-tall skyscraper proposed for construction in Mumbai. It will be located in Upper Worli of Mumbai on the plot of a 17.5 acre site, which belonged to Srinivas Cotton Mills. Lodha obtained the plot for US$54.25 million. The project will cost Indian Rupee US$434 million, be completed by 2014, and will have the world’s second tallest residential tower once completed.
